Hints and Tips for Easy Personalization

“Bookends” refer to the type of picture designs where there is a small picture on BOTH ends of a name, single letter, or 3 letter monograms. These bookends are recommended when a picture is desired to accompany a 3 letter, or single letter monogram. A picture on each side of the monogram balances out the design much nicer, than a single picture sitting above or below a monogram.

Letter Placement for Monograms

Katherine Gabriella Sanders = Katherine (first name), Gabriella (middle name), Sanders (last name)

Monograms have a larger center letter. The order of the initials is traditionally first/last/middle. For example, if your name is Katherine Gabriella Sanders, the monogram would be entered as KDS. Please take extra caution to DOUBLE CHECK spelling of names when choosing to have the full name embroidered on a garment. Personalized items CAN NOT be returned.

Thread Color:

*Due the limitless array of thread available, it is impossible to display all options, and due to variations in computer screens, each color is likely to be viewed differently. Thread color choice applies to Name/Monogram only. All threads used in accompanying pictures/designs will be carefully chosen to blend and match the fabric of the garment as much as possible. If you have specific concerns please refer back to the FAQs page and contact the embroiderer BEFORE placing your order, and also use customer note space provided on check out page for special color requests.

* Sometimes a faint blue pen line might appear on your garment upon arrival. This is a water soluble sewing pen that is used to accurately measure and center your garment. Care is always taken to remove these lines before shipping; however a few of the pesky ones to reappear. Simply dab the area with water and watch it go away!
